Weta Collectibles has unveiled two new Halo 3 statues, the first in a series by the New Zealand based company.
The Halo 3 Cortana statue is an amazing looking piece standing nearly 18 inches tall. An NSC Artificial Intelligence and one of the greatest assets in humanity’s war of survival, Cortana is as close to a person as a computer program could become, though she has no true physical form. Recovered by the Master Chief from the Flood-infested Covenant warship High Charity, Cortana is the Chief’s companion and confidant, the closest thing to a friend he has.
Unlikely allies, the Master Chief and his former Covenant nemesis, the Arbiter, must fight alongside one another. Once the most respected warrior in the Covenant, the Arbiter was stripped of rank and betrayed by the Prophets, while the Master Chief has always been a man alone, even among his own kind. The Master Chief and Arbiter statue measures 12.5″ x 10″ x 8″.
Both statues are scheduled to ship 2nd quarter 2009 and are on sale now at Alter Ego Comics for $225 each, 10% below the retail price of $250.
