DC Direct has just announced a fitting tribute to the actor who brough The Man of Steel to life – the Christopher Reeve as Superman Statue.

The statue captures Christopher Reeve in an iconic pose as Superman from the classic 1978 film.  I must have seen Superman in the theater 4 or 5 times…and I was only 5!  I specifically remember attending a number of birthday parties that year at the movie theater to see Superman.
